Mr. Nobody is a beautiful film about a man named Nemo Nobody who experiences life and time differently than everybody else. It is one of those movies with a plot that can take many viewings to fully piece together, but unlike many of those movies, I believe every little detail adds up to a story that makes sense. Even the things I thought were continuity errors the first time around, I realized on second viewing had significance and meaning behind them. Mr. Nobody is full of wonderful imagery and great cinematography, it utilize’s it’s beautiful score as well as it’s non-orginal music extremely well and Jared Leto gives a great performance as Nemo. If you’re into delightfully strange and confusing films than I highly recommend Mr. Nobody.

There is barely any violence in this movie but it is fairly mature and has some sexual content so I would suggest 14 and up.

Theatrical Cut available on iTunes, Amazon, and Netflix.

TV Review: How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014)

x41798777321⭐️⭐️⭐️⛅️☁️ 3.5/5   [TV-14]

How I Met Your Mother is a sitcom told almost entirely through flashbacks about a man recounting to his kids the very long story of how he met their mother. It’s fairly entertaining throughout but the last season goes downhill, especially the last episode, which does a pretty bad job of wrapping up the story. Easily the best part of this show is the running gags of which there are many. If you need a nice 20-minute show to binge for a while then maybe give How I Met Your Mother a try.

Kids 13 and up should be fine watching this.

Available on iTunes, Amazon, and Netflix.

La La Land (2016)

La La Land is a comedy, drama, and musical about a jazz pianist and an aspiring actress falling for each other in Los Angeles, It focuses on the competition between love and following your dreams. No part of production felt lacking, the acting, music, writing, cinematography and choreography are all fantastic. I felt very invested in the characters very fast, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are perfect in their roles and have great chemistry. La La Land really shines with its beautiful visuals and breathtaking music that make for an amazing blend of screen and sound. If you are interested in film as an art form you need to see La La Land.

They probably won’t fully appreciate this film, but there isn’t anything in it that kids of all ages can’t see.

Available on iTunes and Amazon.

The Wedding Singer (1998)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⛅️☁️ 3.5/5   [PG-13]

The Wedding Singer is a romcom set in the 80s about a wedding singer and a waitress, it’s a lot better than most of Adam Sandlers recent performances and has a few really great lines. I would say anyone 11 and up will probably enjoy The Wedding Singer!

Available on iTunes, Amazon, and Netflix.

Bubble Boy (2001)

Bubble Boy is a great comedy about a boy who is born with no immunities and has to essentially live in a bubble for his whole life! It has many bizzare characters and I think that if you enjoyed Rocketman, then you should enjoy Bubble Boy! Nine or ten and up should be a fine age for kids to watch this film.

Available on iTunes and Amazon.

Take Me Home (2011)

Fun, cute, and funny are all words that describe Take Me Home, basically it’s an uplifting story about a road trip. It isn’t amazing but it’s a good comedy/romance for all ages.

Available on iTunes, Amazon, and Netflix.
