TV Review: Firefly (2002-2003) Viewing Order Included

UNMISSABLE

Firefly is a highly entertaining wild west sci-fi with Chinese cussing that takes place 500 years in the future! It has a very likeable and quirky cast, you won’t be able to pick a favorite character! It’s got a great director (Joss Whedon) and soundtrack as well as many hilarious scenes and one-liners! Something you should look for while watching Firefly is the many hidden Star Wars references, there is a Han Solo in carbonite prop hidden around the ship in some scenes and many ships from Star Wars such as the Imperial Shuttle can be seen in the background! I VERY highly recommend Firefly to all fans of sci-fi and good characters! For kids, I think 12 is a good age.

Sadly there was only ever 1 season of Firefly due to Fox’s bad decision to air the episodes out of order in a bad time slot. However, Joss Whedon made a movie called Serenity that follows up the TV show so you should definitely go watch that once your done watching Firefly! Here is the order you need to watch the show:

Serenity (parts 1 and 2)

The Train Job

Bushwacked

Shindig

Safe

Our Mrs. Reynolds

Jaynestown

Out of Gas

Ariel

War Stories

Trash

The Message

Heart of Gold

Objects in Space

Serenity (the movie)

Available on iTunes, Amazon, and Netflix.
